Description

Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs and Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies are hosting the Orange County Prescription Drug Abuse Summit focusing on Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS). The summit is scheduled for Wednesday, June 18th from 8:30am-4:30pm at Winnie Palmer Hospital, 1st Floor Conference Room (registration begins at 8am). We have a great lineup of speakers that will discuss the extent of the prescription drug problem, neonatal abstinence syndrome, and community resources and solutions.

The summit's keynote speaker is Dr. John Armstrong, Florida's State Surgeon General and Vice Chairman of the State Prescription Drug Abuse and Newborns Task Force.

Presentations will include:

    • Impact of Zohydro
    • Update on Statewide Prescription Drug Task Force
    • Law Enforcement Trends
    • Neonatal Protocol and Community Transition

Who Should Attend: Physicians, Pain Management Specialists, Nurses, Pharmacists, Treatment Providers, EMS, Community-Based Agencies & Government Agencies.
